NOT A THROWAWAY.
Converse Renew ups the ante on sustainable style with a vibrant three-lace Jack Purcell featuring a 100% recycled morphlon upper. This expressive, do-good sneaker recreates the legendary silhouette using recycled materials throughout the design, including 100% recycled laces, insoles made with about 20% recycled content and a toe-cap and outsole each made with about 10% recycled content. Recycled morphlon, a unique combination of recycled polyester and post-industrial textile scraps, creates a distinct textured base from which bold details shine. Jack Purcell Origins
Back in 1935, legendary Canadian badminton champion Jack Purcell was undefeated worldwide and increasingly frustrated with the quality of badminton footwear. In designing his own athletic shoe, Purcell created a canvas and rubber sneaker with a signature “smile” across its toe, a now-iconic celebration of personal style and casual refinement.
